Computer-generated imagery (CGI) is the use of three-dimensional (3D) modelling and rendering software to create visual representations of buildings, interiors, landscapes and products. In architecture, CGI enables designers, clients and other stakeholders to understand a proposed development before construction begins. It has become an established tool for communicating design intent, supporting planning and consultation processes, and marketing developments.
